As the electric drill needs ventilation and heat dissipation, there is a lot of dust inside the drill after long-term use. The dust will make the lubricating oil on the gear and bearing (sliding sleeve) mix, deteriorate and suck up, and increase wear, especially for alternative use. In order to ensure the rotary accuracy of the electric drill and reduce the excessive clearance caused by bearing (sliding sleeve) wear, it is extremely necessary to keep the interior clean and grease.

      method:

Loosen several tapping screws or screws outside the electric drill; Open half of the shell horizontally; Generally, the structure of the new electric hand drill is semi embedded, that is, all mechanical and electrical components are installed in the other half of the casing

Carefully remove the carbon brush first, then remove the end of the drill chuck, then gently lift the motor to take out the rotor (do not damage the enamelled wire), and clean the commutator on the rotor (the one contacting the carbon brush). If it is too dirty or badly worn, first polish it with emery cloth, and then polish it with emery paper or metallographic sandpaper until it is bright.

If the front and rear bearings of the rotor are sealed, the outside can be wiped clean. If the seals are broken, they should be replaced in time. Clean the spiral gear shaft in front of the rotor

Clean the oil stain inside the housing. Clean the helical gear and bearings (or shaft sleeves) on the drill chuck rod.

Replace the removed parts, and install the rotor first; Refit the drill chuck rod helical gear; Install carbon brushes. If the carbon brushes are shorter than 7-8mm, replace them in time. The carbon brush shall be installed and flattened. Finally, a little "Mobil" or "Shell" grease shall be added to all parts between the gear pair and the bearing (or shaft sleeve). The other half can be covered after the installation and flattening check are correct. Tighten the screws, and then turn it by hand without jamming. Then, power on the test run.

It is strictly forbidden to disassemble the electric hand drill under electrification! Do not start without basic knowledge of electrical appliances

      1. Personal protection when using electric drill

1.1 Wear a protective mask when working face up. Wear protective glasses when drilling holes on pig iron castings to protect eyes.

1.2 The drill bit holder shall be properly installed.

1.3 The drill bit is in a hot state during operation, and attention shall be paid to skin burns.

1.4 Drilling Φ The hand-held electric drill with a side handle shall be used for drilling holes with a diameter of more than 12mm.

1.5 Measures for falling from high places shall be taken when working on ladders or working at heights, and ladders shall be supported by ground personnel.

      2. Precautions before operation

2.1 Confirm whether the on-site power supply is consistent with the electric drill nameplate. Whether leakage protector is connected.

2.2 The drill bit and the holder shall be matched and properly installed.

2.3 Confirm that the switch on the electric drill is connected to the latch state, otherwise the electric drill will rotate immediately when the plug is inserted into the power socket, which may cause personal injury.

2.4 If the work place is far away from the power supply, the extension cable with sufficient capacity shall be used and qualified extension cable shall be installed. If the extension cable passes through the sidewalk, it shall be elevated or measures shall be taken to prevent the cable from being damaged by rolling.

      3. Correct operation method of electric drill

3.1 When drilling on metal materials, first punch the sample at the position to be drilled.

3.2 When drilling large holes, drill through with a small drill bit in advance, and then drill with a large drill bit.

3.3 If it is necessary to drill holes on metal for a long time, certain cooling measures can be taken to keep the drill sharp.

3.4 It is strictly prohibited to clean the drilling cuttings generated during drilling by hand, and special tools shall be used to clean the cuttings.

      4. Maintenance and inspection

4.1 Check the drill bit The use of a dull or bent drill will cause the overload surface of the motor to work abnormally and reduce the operating efficiency. Therefore, if such a situation is found, it should be handled and replaced immediately.

4.2 Inspection for fastening screws of electric drill body Before use, check the fastening of the mounting screws of the electric drill body. If the screws are loose, retighten them immediately, otherwise the electric drill will fail.

4.3 Check the carbon brush The carbon brush on the motor is a consumable. Once its wear degree exceeds the limit, the motor will fail. Therefore, the worn carbon brush should be replaced immediately. In addition, the carbon brush must always be kept clean.

4.4 Inspection of protective grounding wire The protection of grounding wire is an important measure to protect personal safety. Therefore, Class I appliances (metal shells) should always check that their shells should be well grounded.
